The Proform 840 Treadmill falls in the price range of $500 to $1000. The Proform site claims "There's nothing this versatile treadmill doesn't have." While I'm not too sure about that, the 840 does ship with a 2.25 CHP motor, heart rate monitor, 4 window lcd display, 10% incline, 10 miles per hour maximum speed, 300 pound weight limit, 19x55 inch tread belt, and impact absorption system. The Proform 840 also comes equipped with a twelve year motor warranty, ten preset workout programs, and cooling fan.

Jo at Epinions writes an in depth review of the Proform 840 giving it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. Jo likes the handrails, price, features, built in fan, the large display console, quick inlcine buttons, and the quickspeed control on the handrail. In closing Jo has this to say about the 840 "In my opinion the ProForm 840 treadmill is an excellent choice. If $850 is in your ballpark I don't think you can go wrong."
